Portland Open Singles Championship

The Portland Open Championship, a Singles Tournament for ALL Portland area bowlers.
The Champion will walk away with the coveted Rose Jug, as well as additional prizes.

So what is the Portland Open:

• Bracket tournament for all genders and all skill levels conducted on a flexible schedule between July and September. Players will have a set period of time to complete their match on their own schedule
• The final will be played on September 14
• Bracket is posted online, view it at Challonge
• Competitors will be notified via email as to their opponent and timeline for game completion
• The match must be completed prior to the deadline for that round of matches    
• If a match is not contested within the timeframe, a coin flip will determine the winner

Eligibility and Entrance Fees

• All players from  the Portland-area (Oregon and SW Washington) with experience lawn bowling are eligible
• Players do not need to be a member of Bowls USA
• Entrance fee shall be $10 per person - click on the "Buy Now" button to use Paypal or pay Joe directly with cash or check
• Players arrange a time (and place) to play their match between themselves
• Players can play at any mutually agreeable green in the area
• If the players cannot agree on a location, the game shall take place at PLBC at Westmoreland Park
• If the players cannot complete their game due to extenuating circumstances

               (ie vacation schedule), they can request a time exemption from the Tournament Director;
               exemptions should be requested as soon as possible.
