Open Pairs Tournament

The Portland Lawn Bowling Club’s next tournament is the Ultimate Challenge Open Pairs Tournament. This a fun tournament that is open to all bowlers. It involves a series of short pairs games with a different scoring system. For each game you will be randomly paired with a partner and your score stays with you.

Format

• 5-end pairs games with scoring as follows:
  • 3 points per toucher
  • 3 points to the team holding shot after the leads’ bowls are played
  • 10 points for closest bowl
  • 5 points for second closest
  • 3 points for third closest
• Random pairings for each game
• Scores stay with the individual bowler
• Winners determined by cumulative points over all games played

 
Eligibility and Entrance Fee

• All players from Portland-area Lawn Bowling Clubs (Oregon and SW Washington) with experience lawn bowling are eligible
• Players do not need to be a member of Bowls USA
• Entrance fee shall be $20 per person, payable prior to draw
  • Entrance Fees will be paid out in the following order:
    • First: Tournament Expenses
    • Second: 75% of remaining balance to winner
    • Third: 25% of remaining balance to runner-up
