New for 2025!

This year, every league and tournament you play in as a Portland Lawn Bowling Club member will earn you ranking points!

Here’s how it works:

• Points are awarded based on both participation and performance, similar to the WTA or Medusa system.

• Different events earn different point values—national events are worth the most, while club-level events are worth less.

• Simply register and play—you’re automatically entered into the ranking system.

• Your total score builds continuously. Every event you enter will yield points to you live score. Note, your points will decline over a 3-year period.  You will collect points for the same event if you enter all 3 years.

  • After 1 year, points drop to 50% of their original value.

  • After 2 years, they drop to 25%.

  • After 3 years, they expire completely.

So the more you play—and the better you play—the higher your ranking!
